Welcome to the new school year! I am honored to serve as your new principal and am excited to work with you to ensure that we have a spectacular school year ahead.  This is my 28th year in Berryessa. As a former Brooktree teacher, I am thrilled to be back on site as your Principal. I am an eternal optimist, and believe whole-heartedly that every child is exceptionally unique and can learn.

 

At Brooktree Elementary, we have a strong and collaborative partnership between parents, teachers, school staff, and the community.  I am especially happy to welcome all of our incoming students and staff from throughout the district. We have an opportunity to bring new and fresh ideas from other sites to an alrteady amazing school.  We work together to ensure that each student receives a rigorous and comprehensive education in a safe and caring environment.  This approach can lead to more holistic educational experiences and better outcomes for students. I believe in teaching to the whole child, with emphasis on the Social Emotional Emotional well being of each student. Here are some key aspects of effective partnerships in education: Open Communication, Shared Goals, Active Engagement, Mutual Respect, Support Systems, Feedback Mechanisms, and Community Involvement. 

 

Our school expectations—Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe—form the bedrock of our daily interactions and standards. These principles empower our students to make thoughtful choices, treat others with kindness and consideration, and ensure their and their peers' well-being. By consistently reinforcing these norms in every aspect of school life, we foster a positive and nurturing environment where everyone can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
